First and foremost, a human adventure...

There are moments where a change of lifestyle becomes necessary. This is what happened to Marie and Pascal in 2003 when they discovered an old café-restaurant in Meloisey. The buildings were filled with personality and history. Marie and Pascal fell in love with the place.
But it needed a lot of renovation work.
This started in 2003, slowly and painstakingly. But Marie and Pascal persevered, helped by their enthusiasm and the support and help of their friends, who were always there for them without fail.

By late 2005, 2/3rds of the work was finished. By mid-January 2006, they were delighted to inaugurate the completed rooms, surrounded by all their friends. By July 2006, the gîtes were finished and the pool and garden landscaped.

This is the story that inspires Marie Calou, now and forever, to be a place of friendship, sharing and conviviality.
