Marie Calou

Meloisey is a typical Hautes Côtes de Beaune village. Surrounded by Volnay, Pommard and Saint-Romain, Meloisey is 8 km from Beaune, the capital of Burgundy wines.

Marie Calou is a charming property tucked away at the heart of the village, where Marie and Pascal extend their warm and friendly welcome in this authentic setting.

Its 4 bed and breakfast rooms and 2 gîtes have been tastefully renovated. Marie will introduce you to our gastronomy thanks to her delicious meals served at La Table Conviviale. Pascal will be delighted to share his knowledge and passion for vineyards and our terroir.

Staying at Marie Calou
is to adopt a philosophy and lifestyle based on conviviality and hospitality.

This charming property, built with old Burgundy stones, is a perfect spot in which to relax. When the weather is nice, you can enjoy the heated pool and walk around the beautiful garden.

To relax, a jacuzzi space is offered (10 € per person - 30 minutes), to book during your stay.

Your hosts, Marie and Pascal, will be pleased to help you discover the gourmet pleasures of our terroir and gastronomy, and to advise you on the not-to-be-missed places to explore or on sporting and cultural activities, according to your wishes..

First and foremost, a human adventure...

There are moments where a change of lifestyle becomes necessary. This is what happened to Marie and Pascal in 2003 when they discovered an old café-restaurant in Meloisey. The buildings were filled with personality and history. Marie and Pascal fell in love with the place.
But it needed a lot of renovation work.
This started in 2003, slowly and painstakingly. But Marie and Pascal persevered, helped by their enthusiasm and the support and help of their friends, who were always there for them without fail.

By late 2005, 2/3rds of the work was finished. By mid-January 2006, they were delighted to inaugurate the completed rooms, surrounded by all their friends. By July 2006, the gîtes were finished and the pool and garden landscaped.

This is the story that inspires Marie Calou, now and forever, to be a place of friendship, sharing and conviviality.
